2002: : Planning the exhibition ‘du Virtuel – du Réel’ for ‘La Galerie d’architecture’ in Paris. Du Virtuel – du Réel is the working title for a light installation examining and concretizing the relation between the virtual and the real world through 3 spatial constructions: 1.Blue Room, 2.Deep Blue, 3.Sky Blue.

The gallery is framing the story by focusing on normally inaccessible spaces, which are made accessible, because the light can interchange between those two parallel worlds, the virtual and the real.

1. Blue Room is illustrating our relationship to history like a kind of closed reality that we only can experience in fragments.

DEEP BLUE 2002: : Planning the exhibition ‘du Virtuel – du Réel’ for ‘La Galerie d’architecture’ in Paris. Du Virtuel – du Réel is the working title for a light installation examining and concretizing the relation between the virtual and the real world through 3 spatial constructions: 1.Blue Room, 2.Deep Blue, 3.Sky Blue.

The gallery is framing the story by focusing on normally inaccessible spaces, which are made accessible, because the light can interchange between those two parallel worlds, the virtual and the real.

2. Deep Blue is a cubic space you can enter. On all 6 surfaces are projected images of life under water. You can enter a universe deep at sea with another reality, other rules with its own law of nature. Around three quarters of the surface of the globe is covered with water, but we normally live on land.

3. Sky Blue takes place in the sky like the blurred and intangible space that continues indefinitely.

1996: ‘Home, structures of a memory’, selected for Copenhagen Cultural Capital 1996

The starting point for ‘Home, structures of a memory’ is an examination of the structure of memory, i.e. the recalling of fragments of the home.
Our home constitutes the frame of our most intimate experiences, but we think that the structure of the home also generates the actual structure of our memory; decisive for how we experience, categorize and archive our experiences. The home becoming a mental space.
We are intrigued by the problem it poses to deal with memories architecturally. To build demands clarity, and memories are similar to dreams in that they appear distinct and precise, yet, at the same time elude us being vague and obscure.
Exhibited in Oeksnehallen and later in Gothenburg Art Hall in Sweden. In collaboration with architect MAA Lise Jessen.

1998: STORY SPACE

Story Space, A space constructed out of 8000 books from Hvidovre Library The novels have been given voices by the users of the library, and pieces of the stories are oozing out from inside the space.
This space is located behind walls of stacked books, a composition of displaced spines, colours and titles.
Exhibited in the gallery of Hvidovre Library and later at Esbjerg Library, DK.
In collaboration with architect MAA Lise Jessen.

1999: City Discovery - Exhibition, H99, Elsinore Shipyard 1999

City discoveries was a part of the H99 exhibition in Helsingborg and Elsinore, Summer 1999.
City discoveries can be described as a sort of modern street archaeology. The room with the 8 glass cases is showing found fragments from the streets in Helsingborg and Elsinore, with specifications of where the fragments were found.
Artist and painter Johannes Kattrup has been collecting the objects in the 2 cities and composed them in the glass cases in connection to 8 different routes.
The undersigned was responsible for the design and concept of the exhibition as well for the exhibition ‘City images’ for H99, which was an on-line exhibition in collaboration with Arc en Rêve, Bordeaux.
